The Local Security Policy

How to access -> Control Panels + Administrative Tools + Local Security Policy.
Shortcut -> Start + Run + (Type: MMC).

Password policy

  • Password History: Is to make sure that the same password is not used when creating a new one.
  • Maximum Password Age: The length of time a password is memorized within the computer before it expires.
  • Minimum Password Age: The length of time elapsed before one can change the password.
  • Minimum Password Length: The minimum number of characters used for the password.
